Creating a premium brand experience for an iconic brand

Fender's products are timeless works of art that have been used by some of the most influential artists for the past half century. For the first time since their founding, Fender was looking to revamp their brand experience at all levels of retail. While working as Design Director at Vizwerks, Pamela Hill worked with Fender to create this experience. The flagship sets the tone and direction by adhering to three major goals. First, treat the product as premium works of art by elevating them on dedicated platforms, and a separate gallery space. Second, the Mod Shop was positioned front and center to showcase the elevated experience. Third, digital media and experiences were seamlessly integrated, while maintaining a uniquely analog interface.

1930'S Hollywood meets turn of the century France for this Portland beauty boutique.

Cloche Beauty Boutique was a response to a growing demographic in the Portland Metro area seeking higher quality products in a more personalized shopping experience in the bath and beauty market. While working at Vizwerks, Design Director Pam Hill's solution was a delicate balance of repeating built-in counters and shelving units, with flexible tables on the floor. A beautiful marble floor mirror the fixture layout and emphasizes the         "3 room" spatial organization. the result is a uniquely whimsical environment for this growing company.

Improving brand presence and experience at retail

Carhartt was in need of a stronger brand presence and retail experience throughout existing accounts. During her time at Vizwerks, Design director Pamela Hill worked with Carhartt to bring this concept to life. After analyzing both their existing shops and competition our answer focused on three major improvements. First improve fixture layout for better interior access and visual/product hierarchy. Second, propose two custom feature fixtures, a table and product showcase, that would be used as anchor points and attract customers. Third, utilize their distinctive yellow along all major wall sections to increase visibility and brand awareness.

A new approach to whole person healthcare

This beautiful facility is the home of a new concept for whole person healthcare and the treatment of chronic illness care. One of the unique features is an automated pharmacy and dedicated retail space on the ground floor. The goal of the project was to create a warmer environment to encourage a more personalized experience for the consumers.   The design we came up with dramatically alters the way people experience this retail category by creating a variety of spaces for customer engagement and discussion, while maintaining a human scale to an over 10,000 sq ft environment.
